As AI workloads drive unprecedented rack densities, data center operators must reduce water consumption, meet stringent acoustic requirements, and improve energy efficiency without compromising performance.

This session explores neighbors first approach to AI cooling infrastructure. Beginning with the transition from traditional cooling towers to dry-cooling technologies, we examine how waterless heat rejection strategies can support sustainability goals while balancing thermal performance and sound constraints.

The discussion then follows the cooling chain into the data hall, highlighting how chillers, heat exchangers, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and direct-to-chip cooling work together to support high-density AI environments. Attendees will learn how elevated-temperature liquid cooling architectures can reduce water use, improve cooling effectiveness, and enable reliable operation of GPU-intensive workloads.

Finally, we'll explore how optimizing heat exchange and increasing chilled-water temperatures can reduce chiller lift, improving overall system efficiency while maintaining resiliency. Through real-world design approaches and operating scenarios, attendees will gain practical insights into building a waterless, low-noise, and energy-efficient cooling strategy for the next generation of AI infrastructure.
