IT Infrastructure & Data Center Section is a part of ICT Association of Slovenia, which is one of the industry associations, part of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. The mission of the section is to promote and support the development of IT Infrastructure and data centres in Slovenia, positioning them as a fundamental pillar of the digital transformation across the economy, public sector and wider society. Slovenia’s location at the crossroads of Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean makes it an excellent digital and network hub. This geographic position allows Slovenia to serve multiple markets including Austria, Northern Italy, Croatia, Serbia and other Western Balkan countries. With 10 ms latency Slovenia's network connection provides access possibilities to other key business regions in Europe. Across Europe, private investors are making substantial investments in the construction of data centres and AI infrastructure. Members of the section will continue the dialog with Slovenian government to encourage interest and strategic support, with the aim to bring some of these investments to Slovenia.
