Major Panel: How will the data center industry deal with exponential data growth as Moore’s Law slows down?
The death of Moore’s Law has been predicted for many years with doomsday scenarios of data center capacity needing to grow exponentially to deal with the consequences. Some experts believe there is a silver lining. “The end of Moore’s Law could be the best thing that has happened in computing since the beginning of Moore’s Law,” said R. Stanley Williams, research scientist for HP Labs. “Confronting the end of an epoch should enable a new era of creativity.” We ask our panel of experts where the next generation of technology will take us.
