The search for control over hybrid IT spend
As the data center industry continues its efforts to decarbonise, but with limited renewable energy on the grid, it is no wonder that hydrogen is being looked towards as the green energy silver bullet. However, despite increasing investment into this area there is scepticism of the viability, at least in the medium term, of how much it can really decarbonise the data center market.
During this panel, subject matter experts will address the challenges facing the roll out of hydrogen energy by considering whether existing infrastructure and supply chains can support this transition. Cost will also be a critical roadblock, but what can be learned from previous efforts such as the US SunShot Initiative to make green energy affordable? These challenges, and more, will be analysed to offer insight into the adoption curve for hydrogen in data centers.
