With the pandemic continuing to rage-on, data centers have not been immune to the prolonged supply chain risk and disruption faced by virtually all other industries. According to Uptime Institute, only 25% of suppliers believe there will not be any delays or impacts to capital expenditure projects or IT equipment availability.
We ask a panel of operators how the pandemic has impacted data center planning? Will operators turn to developers to take advantage of their superior ‘bulk buying’ power? In the face of component delays, will the idea of circularity gain ground? And, what about onshoring?
