Panel: COP26, an energy shock and sustainable financing: how will our green transition fare in 2022?
As we journey towards a bounceback from the pandemic, energy prices have skyrocketed - boosting demand just as supplies are falling short across Europe. Whilst the U.S. hasn’t undergone the same level of energy shock, with the data center industry consuming approximately 2% of the world’s electricity, operators should begin taking stock of a contingency plan should supply conditions worsen.
In the aftermath of COP 26, we ask our panel of experts to discuss how increased regulation on carbon use, an energy shock and green investment planning will impact power consumption and the road to net-zero.
