As the data center has become an increasingly critical foundation of the modern world it has become associated also with significant energy consumption. New for 2022, this award will recognize the most innovative and efficient ways in which data centers are sourcing, managing and conserving energy.
Every entrant must be able to demonstrate through measurement and analysis the savings 'before and after' to their energy consumption and to their carbon footprint as a result of their initiatives using recognized industry metrics or analyses.
- All or part of the project or initiative will be operational by 1st September 2022.
- All or most of the key work on this project or initiative has been conducted since 1st September 2021.
- Vendors, consulting engineers and contractors can nominate projects on behalf of their clients and assist in the preparation of the entry, however the primary recipient of the award will be the project end-user/operator. The collaboration of a vendor, consultant or contractor will be acknowledged in publicity associated with the entry.
