Data center hardware maintenance company Park Place Technologies has bought Singapore-based Axentel Technologies’ operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Park Place made an entry onto the Asia Pacific market in November 2016, when it launched offices in Singapore and Malaysia, and hopes that the deal will allow it to further develop existing services in the region.

Axentel offers third party IT system repairs and maintenance, and operates in 50 service locations across the Asia Pacific region, with more than 250 engineers at its service.

The company’s former CEO, Jerry Yiu, stated that “for the past 12 years, Axentel Technologies has been proud to serve as a leading provider of maintenance services to customers across the globe.”

“After more than a decade of service, we are joining forces with Park Place Technologies to offer our customers greater value by providing access to Park Place Technologies’ wide portfolio of services, which are complementary to the services we offer today,” he added.

As well as taking over the company’s operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, Park Place has agreed to close the acquisition of the company’s Thailand operations in the second quarter of 2018.

Ed Kenty, Park Place Technologies’ chairman and CEO said that “Axentel Technologies is a proven leader with a strong expertise in legacy systems, a wealth of capitalized knowledge, and proven processes in IT maintenance and sourcing.”

“The company’s strong growth trajectory and unwavering commitment to reliability and quality align seamlessly with Park Place Technologies’ vision for our company.”
