US data center companies Fortune Data Centers and Infomart have merged to create the national brand ‘Infomart Data Centers’.

With a  total of more than 2.2m sq ft of wholesale data center and office space, Infomart Data Centers serves a variety of industries including networking, banking, gaming and consumer internet.

Looking to the future
Under the new identity, Infomart Data Centers announced plans to open a fourth facility near Washington DC in the near future. The company now has a national presence with facilities in Silicon Valley, Oregon and Dallas.

A report released by DCD Intelligence earlier this year reveals that growth is being fueled by increasing IT capacity requirements combined with reduced budgets and the need to access new technologies.

Infomart Data Centers is financed by a US$5bn real estate fund from US money management fund ASB. The fund focuses on data centers and owns more than 1m sq ft of facilities throughout the US.
