This whitepaper is a case study of Basefarm, a Norwegian data center provider.

Norway already gets 98 percent of its energy from renewables, but the government has committed to 100 percent with the Electricity Certificate Act, and started a trial of Fast Frequency Response during normal system hours. Eaton was called on to work alongside Fortum, an energy provider, on a data center as a trial for this new initiative. This case study looks at that trial, and whether a data center is capable of supporting the grid. (Hint - it was!)
