Andrés Grignola

Head of Data Center Infrastructure Development Unit, CSI ingenieros

Andrés Grignola is an Electrical Engineer, graduated from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (UdelaR), with an MBA and more than a decade of experience in the design, construction management, and commissioning of mission-critical infrastructure, especially Data Centers.

He is an Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) certified by Uptime Institute and serves as Head / Electrical Discipline Leader at CSI Global, combining a solid technical foundation with a comprehensive vision of the facility lifecycle.

He has been responsible for energy projects for Data Centers at ANTEL and is the Director of Estudio AG, a firm specializing in Data Center design consultancy with an emphasis on energy efficiency, reliability, and resilience.

Among the most prominent projects in which he has participated is the “Ing. José Luis Massera” Data Center, recognized with two awards and a mention at the DCD Awards Latam 2016, in addition to the National Energy Efficiency Award 2016 in Uruguay, as well as hyperscale projects in the region.

In the academic and professional training field, Andrés is an instructor at DCD>Academy, where he teaches courses such as Data Center Design Awareness and Power Professional, actively contributing to the development of specialized talent in critical infrastructure in Latin America.

His approach combines solid technical training and practical experience in mission-critical projects, with a focus on efficiency, industry best practices, and the operational performance of the infrastructure.
