Socomec, a specialist partner for critical power applications within data centers, is launching its new high-power Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), DELPHYS XL+.

With up to a 30 percent reduction in operational footprint, DELPHYS XL+ integrates seamlessly into conventional, modular, and prefabricated data center projects. Its design makes it particularly well suited to the practical requirements of power PODs in terms of the UPS cabinet itself, as well as the area needed for installation, operation, and maintenance.

The market-first and unique doorless configuration eliminates the opening clearance normally required and frees up valuable floor space within the POD. This is the Socomec answer to the new data center layout.

Combined, these design features are expected to deliver space savings of up to 30 percent, compared with the current mainstream UPS available on the market.

Designed for serviceability, supported throughout its lifecycle

Engineered from the outset for fast, straightforward maintenance, DELPHYS XL+ demonstrates that compactness should not come at the expense of power availability.

Its space-saving design, and 125kW hot-swappable power modules, ensure that every serviceable component can be accessed with ease.

With no top-mounted fans requiring overhead access, the design minimizes maintenance constraints, helping to shorten interventions and minimise mean time to repair.

This serviceable design is backed by Socomec’s expertise as a manufacturer and global service organization. More than 500 certified service experts across 80 countries, supported by local teams and a worldwide network of service and repair centers, support customers throughout the infrastructure lifecycle – from pre-deployment testing and commissioning to maintenance, repair, and performance optimization.

Once the system is operational, a 24/7 technical hotline, service-level agreements of up to four hours original spare parts and lifecycle-extension services help maximize uptime and protect the customer’s investment long term.

With its Customer Experience Center in France and China, Socomec offers customers direct access to product experts and validation facilities prior to deployment, ensuring technical compliance, performance verification, and project readiness.

Built with silicon carbide technology, DELPHYS XL+ also achieves up to 98 percent system-level efficiency in online double-conversion mode. Lower energy losses reduce cooling loads from power rooms and prefabricated modules.

Likewise, requiring 12 percent less cooling than the market average, the UPS helps cut consumption, cooling infrastructure requirements, and total cost of ownership over the installation’s lifetime.
