Infrastructure Masons (iMasons), a global nonprofit, professional association in digital infrastructure is proud to announce the recent launch of Embrace, a bold new Member Resource Group aimed at fostering inclusion, equity, and diversity within the digital infrastructure industry.

Infrastructure Masons unites digital infrastructure stakeholders on a global scale to connect, grow, and give back together. iMasons is dedicated to developing a better digital future through a commitment to education, inclusion, innovation, and sustainability.

The Embrace Member Resource Group was created out of iMasons’ dedication to further build an inclusive future led by Eboni Haynes and Mike Eytle of Microsoft.

“At iMasons, we have Membership Resource Groups for women, ex-Armed Forces, Emerging Talent, and LatinX people, yet we didn’t have a place where people who identify as ethnic minorities could connect, be empowered, and jointly move the industry forward, I wanted to help create that space,” says Eboni Haynes, co-lead of Embrace.

The Embrace Membership Resource Group celebrates, inspires, and educates on race, culture, and ethnicity while championing allyship within the digital infrastructure community. The group is open to Infrastructure Masons Members who identify as ethnic minorities in the digital infrastructure industry, and their allies.

“It’s obvious when you look around that there is very little ethnic and racial diversity in this industry. I have worked in other industries where that is not the case and those industries are just more attractive to people like me, and I want to change that and support entry and retention of a wide range of people,” says Mike Eytle, co-lead of Embrace.

Currently, Embrace is working to increase representation in conference speakers and increase job opportunities for people from ethnic minorities.

The group will be meeting in person in Europe for the first time on September 17 at 2:30 pm GMT in front of Theatre 1 at the DCD Connect Conference London. All who support our aims are welcome, regardless of color, ethnicity, or race.
