Zoot has an existing Tier 4 data center and a Tier 3 facility in Billings, Montana.
The new location creates a broader connection to the telecommunications grid and provides a higher level of redundancies.
"Our distributed processing network approach allows us to dynamically move transactions between servers and data centers to maximize performance and improve reliability," stated Tony Rosanova, chief technology officer at Zoot. "The addition of the Salt Lake City data center proves our commitment to continued quality improvement initiatives that benefit our clients."
Like other Tier 4 data centers the facility hosts mission critical servers with fully redundant cooling, power, network links and storage and compartmentalized security zones controlled by biometric access controls methods.
Zoot established the third center to enhance service to its clients by expanding its distributed processing approach while maintaining its high level of security.
The Salt Lake facility meets all auditing requirements and adds greater distance between the company's processing centers.
