AI computing firm Zettabyte has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with investment firm Bowrington Capital for deployment of high-density computing capacity in Taiwan.

Together, Zettabyte and Bowrington will look to assess the commercial requirements of high-density GPU clusters, identify suitable data center sites in Taiwan, and understand the total cost of ownship of such infrastructure.

Bowrington may act as co-owner, co-developer, and co-investor of the data center sites at the GPU asset level, subject to exploration of this role.

The company's said the partnership will combine Bowringron's investment experience with

Jeff Lin, executive director of Zettabyte, said: "Demand for AI computing is growing faster than the infrastructure available to serve it, and closing that gap requires software, cluster engineering and long-term infrastructure capital to work together.”

“Bowrington Capital brings a disciplined approach to infrastructure investment and development, and we look forward to assessing with them how high-density GPU capacity can be delivered to the standards of efficiency, resilience and security that advanced AI workloads demand."

Kuma Xiong, investment officer of Bowrington Capital, said: "Taiwan's classification of green data centres and AI computing centres as public construction projects unlocks access to local institutional capital, fuelling Taiwan's push to compete globally in AI infrastructure.”

“Zettabyte's depth in cluster design complements our focus on structuring durable capital, and together we are bringing online the GPU capacity Taiwan needs for the next generation of AI.”

Zettabyte currently offers GPU cloud services, with access to Nvidia Blackwell, H200, and H100 hardware. It claims to have 1.5GW of planned deployments, and more than 67,000 GPUs currently in its fleet.

In January, the company secured an undisclosed amount of investment from Headline Asia.
