Defense developer York Space Systems has announced the completion of its acquisition of All.Space, a developer of satellite communication terminals and multi-network connectivity technologies, which will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.

“Theaters are GPS-denied, which makes assured positioning a core requirement, not a secondary capability,” said York CEO Dirk Wallinger. “Coordination at the scale of a true unmanned fleet requires infrastructure that autonomy and extended communications alone have not been able to reliably provide. [This integrated system is] built on the space layer, which is the only architecture with the global coverage and in-theater assurance to make it work. Existing space systems were not designed for this mission. York and All.Space’s are."

The companies emphasize All.Space’s jam-resistant, multi-link, multi-orbit terminal technology, specifically its Hydra terminal products, and York’s track record delivering mission-critical capabilities.

“All.Space was built to keep communications alive in the exact conditions where communications are most likely to fail,” said Paul McCarter, CEO of All.Space, in a statement. “The demand for that capability is accelerating, and joining York gives us the space infrastructure, the mission operations depth, and the customer relationships to deliver it where it is needed most.”

McCarter added that All.Space remains committed to all its commercial deliverables following its acquisition.

The acquisition comprises $155 million in cash and 5.9m shares of York common stock, which combine to approximately $300m. It’s the third big corporate consolidation York has closed since its initial public offering in January 2026, which included the acquisitions of space propulsion developer Orbion Space Technology and space solar component builder Solestial, Inc.

By consolidating these disparate technologies under one roof, York appears confident of a verticalized approach toward absorbing Pentagon budgets for tactical space technologies. While York cannot hope to meet the scale of SpaceX and its shadowy Starshield initiative, of which COO Gwynne Shotwell indicates the company is allowed to disclose little about, American defense funding has been known to hedge its bets, especially when agile companies can demonstrate latchkey specialist technologies.

York describes the connectivity gap for scaling unmanned systems’ operations in contested environments as a principal defining operational challenge.
