European data center firm Yondr is selling a stake in its data center campuses outside London in the UK.

The DigitalBridge-owned firm this week announced it has entered into an agreement to sell a majority interest in a campus in Slough to UK investment fund GLIL Infrastructure (GLIL).

Terms of the deal weren’t shared, but Yondr said it will retain a minority interest in the campus and continue to operate the facility after the transaction has closed. The deal is expected to close later this year.

The campus totals two fully operational data centers.

Aaron Wangenheim, Yondr CEO, said: "This transaction represents another important milestone in Yondr's long-term growth strategy. Bringing GLIL on board as an investment partner allows us to realise value from a high-quality, stabilised asset while remaining invested in its future and continuing to operate the campus on behalf of our customer."

The campus consists of three data centers, the first and second of which are fully operational, delivering more than 60MW of capacity. The developer has broken ground on the third facility, which it aims to bring online in mid-2026.

Lee Belfield, investment director at GLIL Infrastructure and LPPI, added: “This investment reflects GLIL's strategy of partnering with high-quality operators to invest in essential infrastructure that delivers resilient, long-term value for our pension fund members. Yondr has developed a high-quality asset with a strong operational track record, and we look forward to commencing a long-term partnership with the Yondr team.”

GLIL is a long-term investment platform established by pension funds to invest in infrastructure across the UK and Europe. The company has previously invested in tower firm Cornerstone.

Yondr is headquartered in London and was previously owned by single-family investment office Cathexis, Apollo Global Management, and Mubadala. It was acquired by DigitalBridge and Canadian pension fund La Caisse in a deal that closed in July 2025. German financial giant Allianz has since acquired a minority stake in the business.

Located on the site of a former paint factory, Yondr first announced plans for the campus in November 2021, with the first 40MW facility launched in June 2024. The second 30MW building launched in April 2025. Yondr secured planning permission for the third facility in August 2024 and broke ground in February 2025.

Yondr operates data center campuses across Europe, Asia, and North America, with developments in Virginia, Texas, Canada, the UK, Indonesia, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Located west of London, Slough is one of the main data center hubs in the UK. The likes of Equinix, Digital Realty, GTR, Iron Mountain, Csquare, Kao, Virtus, and others operate in the area.
