Provider of data center services Wow Technologies, also known as Wowrack, is expanding its footprint within Sabey Data Centers' Intergate West data enter in Tukwila, Washington (just outside of Seattle).
The company provides managed cloud hosting solutions and colocation services out of the major Seattle-based wholesale data center developer's facility. The 11,000 sq ft expansion is the third phase of build-out Wowrack has undertaken at the site and will provide space for about 250 racks.
Erward Oskar, managing partner at Wowrack, said the expansion will have an effect on the company's rates and service portfolio. “This expansion allows us to continue to provide even more competitive pricing and hosting options for both our existing and prospective clients,” he said.
Set for completion in January, 2014, the expansion will increase Wowrack's total data center size in the Seattle market to 18,000 sq ft. The company said it will allow it to further expand services such as private, corporate, public and managed cloud infrastructure and colocation.
The facility will have a total of 3MW of power capacity.
John Sabey, president of the data center provider, said, “We've enjoyed seeing the proliferation of Wowrack's end-to-end solution. From start-ups to enterprises, customers across the US and into Asia are receiving comprehensive services both on site and at Wowrack's facilities.”
