Continuing a string of announcements of new pre-fabricated ultra-modular data center solutions, Wipro Infotech launched its FluidState Data Center product, promising integrated modules that can be set up indoors or outdoors in less than one week.
The solution was standardized for accelerated deployment and optimized for efficiency of cooling, power and space. It offers around-the-clock lights-out operation. FluidState modules are packed with equipment by Cisco, HP, Hitatchi and EMC, among other vendors. The IT environment is virtualized.
In a statement about the new solution, Wipro VP and Business Head of the Professional Services Division for India, Middle East and Africa Achuthan Nair placed emphasis on speed of deployment.
"Given the unprecedented growth in data and need for increased computing power in data centers, FluidState offers a simple solution, whereby businesses can easily deploy data centers in the shortest possible time," Nair said.
Wipro Infotech is the India, Middle East and Africa IT business of India-based Wipro Limited.
The company offers four models of FluidState: Nano, Standard, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus. The solution is targeted on businesses of all sizes, from small to enterprise-level.
Has been implemented in a several data center projects Wipro has performed for its clients, including the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.
