Mid-market data center operator Virtus  is moving ahead with its build of a Tier III 70,000 sq ft data center in North London which it says will almost double its capacity.

Its mezzanine alone will house five of six column-less data center halls in the center, while another will sit on the ground level. Overall, it will feature 8,632 sq ft of data hall space.

Situated at Enfield, the data center will provide low-latency networking with connectivity to major London POPs, and will include 24-hour monitoring, maintenance and management of critical building and service infrastructure.

So far, Virtus has completed the mezzanine floor and the energization of its HV supply to the site from energy provider EDF.
