Data center power and cooling company Vertiv reported Q3 2026 results above Wall Street expectations and revealed that orders have doubled year over year.

Shares in the company jumped some 14 percent, recovering most of an October decline amid broader uncertainty about the AI data center market. Vertiv remains down on a May high, but is up 35 percent YTD.

"We are in the middle of the largest infrastructure buildout, and it's accelerating," said Giordano Albertazzi, Vertiv's CEO.

"The demands on data center infrastructure are evolving faster than ever, and Vertiv's role in that buildout keeps expanding. We're compressing new product development cycles from years to months. We're industrializing converged infrastructure at a scale that didn't exist before and strengthening competencies that are very hard to replicate. We are expanding capacity, improving productivity, and executing with rigor. The infrastructure we deliver performs at the highest levels of reliability."

This week, Vertiv also closed its acquisition of data center fluid management firm King Environmental Services (KES). The deal was announced in September.
