Fiber broadband provider Vero Fiber has completed the acquisition of BendTel Inc.

The deal was announced last week, after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave the transaction regulatory approval.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Vero noted that the acquisition strengthens its presence in Central Oregon, after Vero began deploying Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services in several Bend neighborhoods, including the Portland Avenue and River West areas, earlier this year.

Bend, Oregon-based BendTel has been serving customers in Central Oregon since 2003.

As part of the acquisition, Vero will continue to invest in new fiber construction while integrating BendTel’s operations, customers, and local expertise into the Vero Fiber platform

Founded in 2017 in Boulder, Colorado, Vero designs, builds, owns, and manages fiber infrastructure services to retail consumers (FTTH), K-12 schools (E-Rate), government entities, enterprises, wireless and wireline carriers, and hyperscale/cloud providers.

The company was set up by Matt Erickson, one of Zayo's Co-Founders and chief operating officers. Since launching, Vero has served 237 markets across 20 US states and more than 21,000 customers.
