The House of Representatives is voting today on a bill asking the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) toa study on power consumption in data centers. It will focus on the entire data center power chain from what chip and server manufacturers to infrastructure vendors are presently and could be doing to increase energy efficiency as well as what incentives could be used to convince people to adopt energy-efficient data center technology.
