Unisys Corporation and Swisscom IT Services are to enter into a partnership. This will allow both companies to offer complete end-to-end outsourcing solutions for multinational companies based in Switzerland. Unisys and Swisscom IT Services have already been collaborating successfully since October 2007 for the globally active chemical company, Ciba, for whom they jointly provide datacenter services and SAP solutions.
Both companies are market leaders in their respective sectors: Swisscom IT Services, Switzerland's number one IT provider, with a strong local base and presence, offers its customers modern, secure and reliable IT services, while Unisys brings excellent know-how and expertise in international outsourcing and desktop management. Together they are in a position to offer complete end-to-end outsourcing services for the Swiss market. The focus will be on customers whose datacenter operations are provided from Switzerland. In this way, Unisys will be able to make use of its global sourcing capacities and combine local services with those from service centers in Budapest (Hungary), Shanghai (China) and Bangalore and Hyderabad (India). Consequently, both companies will be able to offer their customers global, standardised IT services and solutions on competitive terms.
