Union Datacom, provider of the first performance-based network built for business, has launched advanced colocation services at its new state-of-the-art data facility to offer Dallas businesses advanced network support technology and services at competitive, cost-effective rates.
In response to rising demand and pricing increases for data center support in the Metroplex, Union Datacom combines high-performance data center capabilities and capacity, including 11,000 square feet for colocation, with a prime location and advanced protection and connectivity features to provide comprehensive network reliability and performance at competitive package pricing for local enterprises.
"Union Datacom is ready to step up and fill a gap in the Dallas colocation market that is directly affecting the operations of area businesses," said Mike Faulkner, CEO of Union Datacom. "With increasing demand for reliable and secure network access, we can immediately offer the space and high-performance features CIOs and IT directors require for quality network uptime and on-site support without breaking the bank."
In addition to convenient customer access, the aboveground Downtown facility offers a prime location for power and connectivity access in the region. Enabled by the company's private fiber ring, the Union Datacom colocation and data center facility is connected to two major U.S. carrier hotels, maintaining a constant connection for the customer's network and built-in redundancy with virtually any major service provider needed. Attached to three major power grids, the facility is equipped with UPS and generator backups to prevent power outages that lead to downtime and data loss.
To meet Tier-4 protection, security and operational standards, Union Datacom strategically designed the facility with unique technology features usually reserved for government data centers, including: advanced environmental control to monitor and maintain humidity and temperature for optimal equipment operations; waterless fire suppression to prevent the spread of fire and avoid water damage and remote and on-site monitoring to quickly generate alerts and action for any issue.
Plans to further expand colocation services at the Union Datacom Dallas facility include 24/7 on-site technical presence.
