Neil Cresswell, Virtus CEO, said: “This is an exciting time for Virtus as we continue to grow and expand, and we are looking for partners to assist us on that journey. We’re delighted to have JLL on board to help Virtus continue to deliver outstanding service for our customers in the UK, supporting our operational excellence and zero-downtime goals.

Virtus currently operates 11 data centers across four campuses in Greater London totaling 77,000 sqm (828,825 sq ft) and 178MW of power. JLL said it will support Virtus by delivering ‘safety, engineering, and operational excellence, managing risk, and leveraging best-in-class technology’.

Jonathan Kinsey, head of data center services, EMEA, JLL, added: “Data center activity continues to swell as the world moves toward a more digital future. We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with Virtus to drive scale and growth opportunities, enabling them to continue to deliver excellence for their customers.”

STT GDC picked up 49 percent of Virtus from Brockton Capital in June 2015 and made the company a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2017. Macquarie Asset Management recently took a 40 percent stake in the UK operator.

Virtus has previously said it has another 100MW pipeline of projects under consideration across the UK and Europe.
