Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) branch struck three targets across Russian-occupied lands, including a data center.

The drone division said that it attacked the facility in Prymorsk, a city in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine.

To the east of the country and the south of the province, the city has been occupied by Russian forces since 2022.

In 2023, Prymorsk City Military Administration Svitlana Makedonsk said that Russian troops were seizing properties and businesses from Ukrainians.

"Every day Russian occupying forces make living more difficult. People live there as if in ghettos. All norms of international law are violated," she told Espresso Daily at the time.

Three-quarters of Zaporizhzhia province were taken by Russian forces at the outset of the war, with Ukrainian forces slowly losing more ground during the past four years as Russia pushes north.

The city of Zaporizhzhia, to the north of the eponymous province, remains under Ukrainian control but faces the threat of approaching troops and increasing drone attacks, including from Iranian-made Shahed drones.

Earlier this year, power to the city was cut due to a drone attack. Authorities claim that the city faced 90 attacks on its civilian infrastructure last year.

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have sought to push back on the encroaching forces, striking supply chains and systems key to the Russian war effort.

Operators from the USF's 1st Separate Center said: “Each of the targeted facilities supports the enemy grouping’s energy, aviation, or communications resilience in the temporarily occupied territories.

"Systematic strikes against such infrastructure disrupt command and logistics, reducing the Russian army’s ability to sustain combat operations,” the statement read.

The drone strike targeted an undisclosed data center in a former post office. Also attacked was the Kirova substation in occupied Luhansk, and Hvardiiske military airfield in Russia-annexed Crimea.

This week, Ukrainian forces also destroyed a Russian BM-27 Uragan-1 multiple-launch rocket system in Zaporizhzhia.
