Telehouse America, US data center services subsidiary of the Japanese telco KDDI Cop., announced that tw telecom will connect its Ethernet network to Telehouse's New York Chelsea data center in Manhattan.
tw, a Lone Tree, Colorado-based connectivity services provider, will now be able to sell services to Telehouse's customers in the building.
Fred Cannone, director of sales and marketing at Telehouse, said, “tw telecom has an excellent customer service reputation in New York City and with its vast national Ethernet footprint throughout the country and robust product portfolio, we are honored to have them connect to our Chelsea data center.”
Telehouse launched its 60,000 sq ft data center on the seventh floor of the 10th Avenue building in New York City in 2011 to expand its capacity in the market. It has another Manhattan data center as well as one in Staten Island.
The provider has nearly 50 data centers globally, according to its website. The portfolio includes sites across the US, Europe and Asia.
