A Turkish real estate investment trust is moving into data centers, targeting potential developments in the US.
Koray Real Estate Investment Partnership Inc. (Koray GYO) this week announced that it was evaluating suitable land for data center investment in the US, in Texas and Louisiana.
Further details on any planned projects were not shared.
“Discussions have also commenced with relevant financial institutions to assess financing opportunities for the development of this project,” the company said.
Koray GYO was formed in 1996 as a joint venture between Yapı ve Kredi Bankası and Koray Group. The Koray Group is a large construction firm with operations spanning energy, investment, and construction.
The group’s development projects have previously included residential projects
The company first announced it was exploring expansion into data center investments, both domestically and internationally, in June. Further details of any domestic projects haven’t been shared.
