Thésée Datacenter is adding 50MW of data center capacity to its campus in Aurbgenville, outside Paris, France.

The firm will inject an initial €60 million ($69.6m) into the project as part of a total investment expected to reach €500m ($579.9m).

It intends to expand the site with data center modules offering between 5-10MW each. “This will allow Thésée to support the growing digital needs of businesses and the public sector and reinforce its role as a trusted digital partner in the Île-de-France region,” the company said.

“With this new campus, we are taking a major step in the development of Thésée Datacenter,” said Antoine Fournier, president of Thésée Datacenter. “We are responding to the growing demand for reliable and responsible infrastructure, capable of hosting the most critical applications governed exclusively by French law.”

Thésée said the new modules will be Tier IV certified, with a target PUE of less than 1.2. It will incorporate a hybrid cooling model, with air and direct liquid-cooled options available.

Founded in 2016, Thésée operates two data centers in the Île-de-France region around Paris, with 4.6MW of current operational capacity before the expansion.

It was acquired by Vesper Infrastructure in July, with the investment firm stating that it intended to fund an expansion of Thésée’s operations.
