C I Host, a global leader in web hosting and Internet solutions, has expanded its core data center by 8,000ft┬▓ to handle its rapid growth.
This is the ninth time the company has expanded its core facility in Bedford, Texas. There is room for one more phase expansion before the facility becomes fully utilized.
"We are already working on our second facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, said Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host. "It will be online and operational within 12 months to allow us to continue to expand.
C I Host is adding 600 new dedicated servers and more than 4,000 new shared hosting accounts a month, in addition to completing more than 50 colocation deals a month.
With wholly-owned, state-of-the-art data centers in Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Newark - and a planned opening in London - C I Host has grown and prospered its nine-year history, a time that saw exuberant peaks and challenging valleys in the high tech industry.
Over 18 months, C I Host has expanded many of its facilities, developed an anti-scam toolbar and other strategies to protect Internet users from Internet crime, and pioneered the use of web-based technology to expand the market for musicians and artists to sell their products and services and to help nonprofit organizations linked with the arts to raise funds to help those hurt by national disasters.
"Our lack of long-term debt, our early creation of a robust, transparent reseller program and our decision from the get-go to run a customer-centered company as helped us get where we are today, Faulkner said. "There are also the guiding principles that will carry us into the future.
All telco-grade, tier-1 data centers are wholly-owned and operated by C I Host and consist of redundant diesel generator backups and a temperature-controlled secure environment with fully redundant UPS capability. All server hardware is fully tested and configured for optimal performance
