CyrusOne, a Houston, Texas-based colocation provider, has retained a Texas bank as a customer at its recently opened data center in Austin.

CyrusOne services to Woodforest National Bank will include back-up and disaster recovery services. Until now, the bank has been supporting its production systems within its own Texas data centers.

"Woodforest needed a carrier-neutral facility for connectivity, plus the infrastructure for today's high-density IT assets," CyrusOne President and CEO David Ferdman said in a statement.

CyrusOne maintains seven data centers in Texas, including two facilities in Houston, three in Dallas and one in Austin. Its total Texas footprint is about 480,000 square feet.

In July, 2007, the company was acquired by Boston, Mass.-based private equity firm ABRY Partners.
