Terremark, a Verizon subsidiary that provides IT infrastructure services to enterprises, has extended its managed enterprise cloud infrastructure to its data center in London, the company announced Tuesday.

London is one of the world’s major business hubs and having infrastructure that supports Terremark’s enterprise cloud offerings there will make it easier to sell these offerings to companies that have offices or data centers in London.

Terremark president Nelson Fonseca said the city was a “crucial business hub” for both Terremark and Verizon because of the number of multinationals that have operations there.

“The expanded cloud capacity enables us to help our customers securely explore innovative new business models, which will help them to achieve their future business success,” Fonseca said.

Terremark’s enterprise cloud offerings include a variety of public- and private-cloud services. Its managed enterprise cloud services are for companies that want not only to deploy cloud infrastructure but also to outsource a degree of management of that cloud infrastructure.

The company has been busy at work, expanding its global offering to enterprises. Just recently, it announced an expansion of its enterprise cloud infrastructure to Denver, Colorado, and expansion of its data centers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Bogota, Colombia.

In September 2011, the company launched an Amsterdam data center, expanding further its presence in Europe, where it now has nine data centers. Overall, the company has about 50 data centers around the world.
