Colocation and network interconnection provider Telx announced Wednesday availability of additional space at its Los Angeles facility. The new space is adjacent to the company's data center at 600 West 7th St. - home to several data center providers where Telx is the exclusive interconnection provider, according to a company statement.
The additional space is half the size of the company's older data center in the building. Telx said there was continuing demand for colocation space in downtown Los Angeles, driven mostly by media companies, providers of cloud-based services, as well as financial firms.
Telx has recently stepped up its efforts in going after clients in the financial service industry. Last week the company announced a new package of services it called the Financial Business Exchange. By launching the FBX, Telx bundled services it had previously provided under one umbrella to cater to the finance sector vertical.
