Telehouse America formed a strategic partnership with Cube Optics, a manufacturer of fiber-optic components, modules and systems for use in data centers and telecommunications.
Cube Optics will provide Telehouse America with networking solutions utilizing the latest in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology.

By incorporating DWDM technology across its network, the colo and internet exchange provider can quickly expand its capacity on existing routes without having to upgrade the fiber or incur higher costs. In addition to Cube Optics DWDM multiplexers, it will also use line protection devices to provide full redundancy at lower costs compared to a dark fiber solution, the company said.

“We are currently using Cube Optics DWDM solution to connect two of our major NYIIX peering sites: 60 Hudson and 85 Tenth Avenue,” said Andrey Azarkin, Senior Network Engineer. “We also plan to deploy the solution across the entire NYIIX network and migrate to a next-generation platform, improving performance and reliability overall.”
