TelecityGroup, a pan-European operator of network independent datacenters and value added services, has announced that it will join EDF's "Equilibre + offer.
By being the first datacenter operator to subscribe to this offer, TelecityGroup shows its ongoing leadership in exploring and adopting technologies which help minimise the impact of its operations on the environment and maximise energy efficiency in the datacenter.
EDF's "Equilibre+ offer certifies that the equivalent of 21 % of the electricity consumed by TelecityGroup has been generated from renewable sources of energy and guarantees a neutral impact in terms of C02 emissions. In addition, EDF reinvests part of the revenues generated from Equilibre+ into the CISEL research project, whose aim is to encourage the development of electricity production from solar energy.
