TelecityGroup, the leading pan-European operator of network independent datacenters, today announces that it will build a new datacenter in Paris. Ongoing customer demand and overall utilisation in TelecityGroup's existing facilities in Paris is high and the new datacenter will ensure the Group continues to have growth capacity in one of Europe's largest datacenter markets. The new facility will be the Group's 21st datacenter in Europe and its third in the French capital.

The continued growth of the internet economy and the evolving online needs of business both locally and internationally are combining to drive the increase in demand for high-quality datacenters.
The datacenter is to be launched in phases from the second half of 2009 through to the second quarter of 2011 providing over 3000 square metres of net customer space. Overall datacenter power will be approximately 14MW and total customer power will be approximately 5MW, with the ability to support high power density requirements of up to 20kW per rack. Subject to final planning permission for the site, which is expected towards the end of 2008, the Group will invest a total of
