TDK Ventures has invested an undisclosed amount of money in Singapore-based Silicon Box.
Silicon Box was founded in 2021 by former CEO of STATS ChipPAC Dr. Byung Joon and Marvell founders Dr. Sehat Sutardja and Weili Dai. The company develops advanced semiconductor packaging solutions, using chiplets to create a system-on-a-chip solution to drive improved performance and scale.
"TDK Ventures is excited to partner with the world-class team at Silicon Box. Their standout chiplet design is making waves in the industry, and they already have a proven concept in a 750,000 sq ft (69,680 sqm) facility to support production. We are committed to supporting their success for a positive impact on the world,” said TDK Ventures' president Nicolas Sauvage.
TDK Ventures is a venture capitalist firm that invests in early-stage tech startups across a range of industries, including connectivity and computing, and energy and cleantech. In April 2021, TDK Ventures took part in a series D funding round for AI chip company Groq.
