Digital Realty Trust has completed a turn key data center lease agreement with Tata Communications.

As per the agreement, Tata Communications will establish a new data center at a Digital Realty Trust facility in the UK to support its global IT infrastructure.

"We are pleased that Tata Communications has chosen to work with Digital Realty Trust on the establishment of this new datacenter,"said Bernard Geoghegan, Senior Vice President at Digital Realty Trust, who oversees International Operations.

Abid Qadiri, Vice President, Data Centre Services for Tata Communications, said: "This partnership allows us to significantly enhance our position as a data center services provider within the UK and European market, and provides us with the ability to meet the current and future services needs of our customers in this market."

Tata is expected to start using the data center facilities within weeks.
