T-Mobile has this week announced a management reshuffle, as two of its bosses prepare to leave.

The carrier confirmed the changes in an SEC filing earlier this week.

As part of the changes, the company confirmed that its president of technology, Ulf Ewaldsson, is retiring.

Ewaldsson has been in the role since April 2023, having joined the carrier in 2019. Before joining T-Mobile, he was an advisor to the CEO at Swedish vendor Ericsson.

During his time as president of technology, Ewaldsson oversaw the company's rollout of 5G following T-Mobile's merger with Sprint.

T-Mobile confirmed that he will be replaced by John Saw, currently chief technology officer at the company.

"In his expanded role, Mr. Saw will oversee all aspects of the company’s network team. A long-time veteran of T-Mobile, Sprint, and Clearwire, he has been instrumental in the development of the company’s 5G network, including the introduction of new advanced network technologies and the deployment of previously underutilized spectrum," noted T-Mobile in its filing.

T-Mobile also confirmed that Callie Field, president, business group, T-Mobile, has stepped down after two decades. Field is set to leave her role on September 30, but will remain at T-Mobile as a strategic advisor until March 31, 2026.

The telco also said it has appointed André Almeida, a board of directors member, as its president of growth and emerging businesses.

Almeida begins the role next week (September 1), and will oversee T-Mobile's broadband, T-Ads, financial services, enterprise, and government businesses.
