The SynapSoft 4.0 solution was unveiled at the Uptime Institute's Symposium 2008 held in Orlando, Florida.
SynapSoft 4.0 offers datacenter operators unparalleled levels of visibility and iterative management capabilities for aligning datacenter operations, energy efficiency and capacity planning. The SynapSense solution with LiveImaging provides real-time datacenter environmental data and images including thermal, humidity and pressure differential mapping. This allows customers to, for example, literally see hot spots and overcooled zones where cooling inefficiencies are occurring and re-direct airflow to optimize operations.
Additionally, SynapSense uses the solution to compile complete assessments of data center operations for customers, providing them with a baseline of information that can be analyzed to fine-tune cooling and information technology (IT) loads moving forward. SynapSoft 4.0 with LiveImaging is now available to enterprise customers, and SynapSense will provide additional software advancements this year that will help further improve datacenter energy efficiency and optimize power management.
