Supermicro has added a 100 percent liquid-cooled rack-scale solution, featuring 256 Nvidia Vera processors, to its Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) portfolio.
In a statement, the company said the rack delivers “dense CPU capacity” for agentic AI, reinforcement learning, and data processing, whilst supporting 22.5K sandboxes at “liquid-cooled AI factory scale.”
The rack also integrates Nvidia BlueField4 DPUs with the company’s Open Agent Safety Platform and OpenShell Reference Architecture to secure agentic AI orchestration.
The rack uses third-generation Nvidia MGX design, meaning it has common infrastructure with Vera Rubin NVL72. Consequently, it can be deployed alone or alongside Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 systems inside data centers, Supermicro said.
To power the racks, customers are able to choose from traditional AC or an 800VDC sidecar power rack, which supports the use of backup battery units in place of conventional UPS.
"As agentic AI transforms data center requirements, Supermicro is extending its DCBBS portfolio with fully integrated infrastructure," said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro. "For customers seeking air-cooled deployments, Supermicro's Nvidia Vera CPU portfolio includes air-cooled 1U and 2U systems, in addition to rack-scale liquid cooling options. Together with Nvidia, we help accelerate time to deployment with a common purpose-built architecture for secure, scalable agentic AI."
The Supermicro Vera CPU rack is available to purchase now.
