SunGard Availability Services has put the finishing touches on its newly expanded Scottsdale data center.

The colocation and managed service provider added 7,400 sq ft of raised floor to the facility, bringing its total facility footprint to 102,400 sq ft.

SunGard has also recently built out additional space at its data center in Philadelphia and Carlstadt, New Jersey.

SunGard VP of product management and managed services Joe Sullivan said demand has been increasing in all areas for colocation space, the Cloud and services.

“This expansion better enables organizations to select space and power environments to meet their needs today and be confident they can grow as requirements evolve – with ability to add managed and recovery services for long-term agility,” Sullivan said.

The Scottsdale data center is SSAE16 Type II compliant and complies with the Payment Card industry Data Security Standard, HIPAA and NIST SP 800-53.
