An international organization focused on infrastructure management standards, the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), is working with the China Cloud Computing Promotion and Policy Forum (3CPP) to promote the adoption of cloud-based standards in China.

3CPP is an organization dedicated to the research of cloud computing policies and standards and regulations that sits under the China Academy of Telecommunications Research – part of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Its aim is to provide a favorable environment for developing China’s cloud computing industry.

3CPP chief secretary He Baohong said the groups will be looking to align their efforts, building on standards developed by DMTF.

These include the Cloud Infrastructure Management Interface (CIMI) and the Cloud Auditing Data Federation (CADF) standards.

“The DMTF and 3CPP share several common concerns within the cloud computing industry,” Baohong said.

“The importance of cooperation between our two organizations will be instrumental in promoting the adoption of cloud-based standards in China.”

DMTF members include Cisco, Citrix Systems, CA Technologies, Huawei, Broadcom and IBM.

3CPP members also include Huawei, Oracle, VMware, Intel, China Unicom, China Mobile, Alibaba, Baidu and Tencent.
