A new European cloud - dubbed Evroc - has launched.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Evroc is a sovereign cloud offering that will provide compute, storage, and networking services to customers. The cloud platform officially went live on July 3.

In addition, it will offer AI services, with plans to launch an Nvidia Blackwell-based GPU cluster.

Our next-generation cloud and AI services are purpose-built to be the secure, scalable, and powerful foundation Europe needs to thrive in an AI-driven future, ensuring our continent's data remains sovereign and its innovations truly its own," said Evroc founder and CEO Mattias Åström.

According to Evroc, its services are specifically tailored to sensitive workloads for sectors including defense, government, financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure.

The company, in addition to the Stockholm head office, has "development offices" in Sophia Antipolis, France, and London, UK. By 2030, Evroc aims to operate 10 hyperscale data centers.

According to the Evroc website, the company is operating out of "strategic partner data centers" in Stockholm, Paris, and Frankfurt, and is building its own data centers in Stockholm, Sweden, and Mougins, France.

Its "flagship" data center in Stockholm is located in an innovation hub next to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. It is being designed with a capacity for up to 10,000 GPUs, liquid cooling, and a density of more than 150kW per rack. It will run entirely on fossil-free energy and provide excess heat to the local district heating network.

Åström founded Evroc in 2022 and is backed by EQT Ventures, Norrsken VC, Giant Ventures, and blisce. In March 2025, the company secured €50.6 million ($55m) in Series A funding to fuel its European build-out. Prior to founding the cloud company, Åström served as CEO at Eta Devices, Eta Wireless, and C3 Technologies.
