The Brazilian company Sollar Machine has announced plans to invest $9 million to develop a data center in Paraguay.

Few further details are available, but the project aims to operate entirely with solar energy without dependence on the national power grid.

The facility will be designed to house artificial intelligence solutions and is intended mainly for the export of services, starting with the Brazilian market.

According to Sollar Machine, Paraguay's tax advantages, its strategic location, and its economic stability facilitate high-impact investments in technology and clean energy. The company will import photovoltaic panels and batteries to set up an autonomous data center and manufacture a finished product in the country, capable of processing data for international clients without connection to the local electricity system.

This initiative already has institutional advice from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the support of technicians from Rediex and the Unified System for the Opening and Closing of Companies (Suace), and is moving forward with the formalities for the installation and start-up of the data center.
