Satellite antenna provider Global Invacom Holdings Limited (GIHL) has jointly founded a new ground station company.
The company this week announced the foundation of eNexus Space Data to deliver a Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) offering.
GIHL has acquired a 45.5 percent stake in the newly-formed and US-registered eNexus in “exchange for the provision of certain initial satellite communications equipment” – detailed as two antenna systems and services in an announcement to the Singapore stock exchange.
According to the SGX announcement, eMission LLC is listed as owning 55 percent of eNexus. Though few details are available, the managing member of the eMission is said to have “operated across various sectors, including renewable energy and material resources, aerostructures and components, satellite and data systems, and international supplier engagement.”
GIHL said the new unit has been created in response to the anticipated growing demand for ground station services. eNexus will deliver data collected by satellites across multiple orbits for a wide range of applications, including earth observation (EO).
Details of any planned antenna deployments weren’t shared.

Singapore-based and founded in 1985, GIHL offers satellite communications products for transmitting, receiving, and distributing satellite signals. The company operates via several subsidiaries focused on communications, TV, and navigation across multiple orbits. Its satellite electronics division, Global Skyware, offers satellite RF electronics, including Ka-Band transceivers.
GSaaS provides satellite operators with access to ground stations on a pay-per-use basis, allowing multiple users to book time and capacity on shared antennas, as opposed to buying their own. Startup GSaaS providers include Leaf Space, RBC Signals, Atlas Space Operations, and Infostellar, as well as incumbents such as KSAT and AWS.
