US data center firm Serverfarm has topped out its latest data center in Texas.

Over the weekend, the company said it had topped out its 60MW CTX2 facility in Houston.

Manulife-owned Serverfarm entered Houston in 2024 after acquiring two facilities built and occupied by HP and later DXC. The company filed to expand both sites with additional buildings last year.

For CTX2 at 15555 Cutten Road in Houston, the company filed to develop a 438,000 sq ft (40,691 sqm) facility adjacent to its existing data centers there.

The new building will expand Serverfarm’s HOU2 site, a two-building campus close to the former Compaq/HP HQ in Cypress Creek.

At full build-out, the HOU2 data center campus will span almost 500,000 sq ft (46,450 sqm) across two buildings with secured customer capacity to scale to 100MW using available existing grid power.

Serverfarm, founded in 2009 by real estate development firm Red Sea Group and acquired by Manulife in 2023, operates ten data centers, seven of which are based in the US. The remaining three sites are spread across Amsterdam, London, and Israel.
