According to an article in a Scottish daily newspaper, City banks are approaching business continuity and server-hosting companies in cities like Glasgow and Edinburgh, to discuss data center relocation options.
With peak summer temperatures in London some 2┬║C higher than three decades ago, and power capacity in parts of the capital reaching their threshold, the cooler climes, the greater power generation capacity and cheaper co-location costs of Scottish cities, are proving an attractive option for cost-conscious companies.
