Savvis, part of telecoms giant CenturyLink is to sell  subscription-based hosting services for the SAP HANA platform across every market in which it operates.

When accessing SAP HANA through hosting services provided by Savvis, global enterprises gain instant, real-time entry into a leading transactional and analytical database platform without the effort of owning and maintaining the infrastructure that supports it.

As an SAP-certified provider of cloud and hosting services, Savvis will provide global enterprises with a cost-effective, on-demand hosting and cloud-based delivery model for mission-critical SAP applications.

To achieve this certification, Savvis’ cloud infrastructure, physical and logical security measures, processes, portal and technical staff were subject to extensive testing by SAP. This process helped validate the operational integration of the cloud-computing platform and hosting capabilities with supported applications and worked to further ensure compliance with SAP's requirements for quality, availability and security.

Under the arrangement, Savvis will procure, configure and provision the server hardware required to support SAP HANA, hosting the platform in a single environment within one or more of Savvis’ more than 50 tightly controlled, secure data centers operated worldwide.
